🔹 K-9 Kennel Technician – Retired Working Dogs

Overview:
This is an advanced-level kennel tech position for individuals with hands-on experience handling military, police, or protection dogs. You'll be responsible for the daily care, safety, and monitoring of high-drive K-9s with apprehension and decoy work backgrounds. This is not a shelter or pet boarding role—these dogs require confident, skilled handlers who understand working dog behavior and safety protocols.

Requirements:

  • Experience with military/police or bite-trained K-9s
  • Ability to manage strong, reactive working dogs
  • High situational awareness and physical capability
  • Background in K-9 handling, protection work, or law enforcement preferred 


SECURITY JOBS:

🔹 Fire Watch Officer (Entry-Level)

Overview:
A great opportunity for those new to the security field. Fire Watch officers monitor job sites or facilities where fire hazards are present, reporting any safety concerns and ensuring compliance with site protocols.

Requirements:

  • No prior security license required (but a plus if you have one)
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures
  • Reliable transportation and communication
  • Ability to stand/watch for extended periods


🔹 Level II Security Officer (Unarmed)

Overview:
Responsible for site patrols, incident reporting, and maintaining a visible security presence. Ideal for individuals with a current Texas Level II license who are dependable and observant.

 

Level III Commissioned Security Officer (Armed)

Overview:
Suited for experienced professionals. Duties include access control, emergency response, and presence at high-visibility posts.


🔹 K-9 Handler – Patrol or Detection

Overview:
Handles working dogs for patrol, narcotics, or explosives detection. Must have experience in handling and training K-9s for law enforcement or security roles.



Minimal Requirements for all Security Officer and K9 Officer/Handler Positions:

  • Valid Level II Non-Commissioned or Level III Commissioned License through TOPS
  • Valid MMPI
  • Up-to-date Fire arms proficiency and baton certification 
  • Communication and report writing skills
  • Situational awareness and sound judgment 
  • Reliable transportation 
  • Knowledge of Texas laws and proper use of force 
  • Flexible availability for day/night/weekend shifts
  • Clean background and professional conduct 
  • Body worn camera, taser cert, for *k-9 patrol
  • Relevant K-9 handling experience *k9 handler
  • Certification in detection **k9 handler
  • Prior military/law enforcement experience preferred but not required 


 

 

Administrative Support / Dispatch (Part-Time)

Overview:
This dual-role position supports the operational flow of Mountain Group Protection & Security. Duties include officer scheduling, dispatch coordination, and maintaining accurate digital records. Ideal for someone who is organized, reliable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication and multitasking skills
  • Experience with scheduling, dispatch, or admin coordination preferred
  • Proficient in email, spreadsheets, and file management
  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of handling sensitive information
